Winter has definitely arrived in northeastern Minnesota! Since my last post, I have seen the snow plow go by on our street moving the snow back at least two times. We are expected to get more snow in the next 24 to 48 hours.
After a few winters of next to nothing snowfall until midwinter, the tourist businesses which rely on normal snow conditions this time of year are rejoicing. I'm not an outdoor person in wintertime, but maybe this year now that I'm getting photos accepted on Big Stock Photo and hoping they sell, I should probably bundle up and head out.
This may be a good time to write some ski hill or snowmobile trail reviews for this part of Minnesota. I'm considering it though I have never downhill skiied or snowmobiled in my life.
Those carrots I mentioned in my last post? We had to break the two plastic containers loose from the icy ground and lug them into the basement to thaw before the carrots would budge. As long as the carrots are going to be blanched and frozen anyway for soup later, I guess I'm OK with that.
So how's winter so far in your part of the world?
Signing off from behind the hedge.
