I feel drained!! Yesterday was the first day that our church fireworks stand was actually open for business even though there was lots more to price. (Six or more boxes were dropped off in the morning, stuff that we were supposed to get, but didn't until yesterday.) We stay open until July 6th or 7th, but Dave, our stand manager, said that we would let today be a day of rest. Praise the Lord!!

Tomorrow I have to walk up there (about 9 blocks) to open the stand. I dread the walk! This past winter I sat around too much and I'm not in the best physical condition. My knees hurt (my right one particularly; I fell on it years ago). I know the walk will be good for me. Maybe if I did that everyday, I'd drop 50 pounds and feel better.

As I type this, my almost ten-year-old daughter is lying on the couch reading a book about dogs. Our Holly dog is lying on the floor. I don't know what she ate earlier but ever so often she wafts a fragrant bomb my direction. Peeuw! Everyone hold your noses!

My older two daughters will be at church, one helping with the youth group, one participating as a member of the youth group. They usually handle most of the cooking, but I guess tonight I have to make supper. It's too late to marinade the mock beef steaks that were taken out, so I'll have to do something simple. Not sure what yet.
